Hello everyone, If anyone is heading to the Muscat or the Daymaniyats this weekend for a spot of diving or lives near or is passing by Sohar, we have TWO satellite tags that have detached from whale sharks in the area and have drifted to the shore! If anyone can spare some time to have a look for us we would be extremely grateful! The current GPS positions are: 24 17 06N 56 48 20E and 24 06 34N 56 57 04E, I have attached some Google Earth images below. These GPS coordinates are only accurate within 500m so the tags are probably sat on the shoreline around the location. If anyone can look, please email me at sharkwatcharabia@gmail and I can give you the best and most up to date coordinates... The tags contain lots of important information about the sharks so you would be really helping regional whale shark conservation if they are found... Thank you
