Hello everyone! Im posting to see if anyone would like to offer some help to a sweet lady I know. Long story short: This woman is the nicest, soft spoken lady you could ever meet. She married a man who she thought she would be with for the rest of her life. This man turned out to be extremely abusive, both physically and emotionally, and a manipulative liar. She has hardly received any help from the Womens shelter and from the police (especially the ones who recently did a campaign against violence!! wtf!!). The man turned everyone against her. She is such a wreck and has come close to suicide many times. My family is trying to help her as much as we possibly can. My mother has been the only person she has to turn to, and she cries her heart out to her. This woman has been through the courts and the judges and lawyers believed this mans lies. He has taken all of her money, her kids have moved away to get away from this man- so she doesnt see them at all, hes taken items from the house, the car, and the bank is threatening to foreclose on her house. She is greatly in debt from fighting in court to get her life back. Her lawyer dropped her case because she demanded another $5000 (when the woman is lucky to have $5). There has recently been a development though, where she finally called someone high up in the city, and this person is getting their lawyers to help her, theyre going after various people for all of the harassment and trauma theyve caused her, and they are going to the newspaper (I will post when an article is published). I cant release too much information because we cannot have it get to the wrong people. I wanted to start an online fundraiser for her, but instead, I am asking if anybody out there would be willing to write something very kind in a Christmas card and maybe include a small gift card or financial donation. Its is completely up to you! But this woman, who is beyond hitting rock bottom and feels so lost and helpless, needs to feel some love this Christmas (And always). Please inbox me if you are willing to help and I can give you my address to drop off or mail a card. I will put them all in a nice bundle and wrapped in a gorgeous bow and give them to her this Christmas. Thanks so much for your consideration. She really is an amazing and kind woman. She would not ask for help herself, so I want to do anything I can to get help and happiness to her.
