Hello everyone, Im sorry to be sending you an extra - non-devotional - email, but this was the only way I knew of to let you know of a Living Room event you might be interested in. You are invited to a celebration of the Living Room Mood Disorder Support ministry. It will take place on Sunday, July 20th at 10:30 at Brentwood Park Alliance Church, 1410 Delta Avenue, Burnaby. It is an honour to see this happen and to know that the event will be given the whole service time. We will be celebrating the history of Living Room and what it has meant to people living with mood disorders and their need for faith-based support. We will also celebrate Living Rooms merger with Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries at the end of July. I am grateful to Dr. Sharon Smith, Sanctuary’s executive director, and her vision for the role of the church in the care of people with mental health problems. This organization will take over where my work of starting new Living Room groups left off. With Sanctuary behind it, Global Living Room has the opportunity to reach levels of effectiveness not possible with the resources Brentwood Park Alliance Church has had available. On July 20th there will be a number of speakers and an address by Sharon Smith. Please note, that I will continue leading the group that meets at Brentwood Park Church.
