Hello everyone. It is with a very heavy heart that I let you know that my twin brother Ron passed away last night in California after his short battle with liver cancer. He was 68 years old and my best friend from birth, but at least we can gain some comfort in knowing that he will not have to suffer any longer and is in a far better place where he can see our dad again and all of his loveable dogs. Ron should have never suffered what he experienced over the last month, especially after being so excited by and dedicated to the planned surgery to remove the tumor from his liver. Unfortunately, that surgery never took place when the surgeon found a cancerous nodule on his abdominal wall and wanted to put him back on chemotherapy first to get rid of the nodule and shrink the liver tumor some more before scheduling the surgery sometime in January. Ron was really down from this and unfortunately he began sinking a bit when his fluid levels began to decline and he became severely dehydrated nearly two weeks after the surgery postponement. Then came the rush to the hospital, transfer to a nursing facility to get fluids for several days to bring his levels back up and the stroke. The rest is now history. I want to thank everyone who has expressed their support and dedicated their prayers to Ron and his recovery either thru telephone calls, emails, text messages or Facebook posts. We love you for that, and I will pass along the funeral arrangements once I get them. R. I. P. Ron! Rich
