Hello everyone! Just a quick update for you all on where the Katy Holmes Trust is up to! I know i havent posted much about our work lately but this isnt because we havent been doing anything, quite the opposite in fact! We have been busy having meetings and making future plans which have taken up so much of our time. On top of that i have been helping a few families who are in need of support and trying to keep up with the emails and letters and our home/school life. Thankfully Sandra and Haylea have done a fabulous job of looking after Prestons Got Talent for us so i havent had any worries there. Susan has done a fantastic job of looking after the North West Pride Awards which is going to be the most fabulous event too! It has been a real juggling game since i have returned from Kilimanjaro and i dont really think i have had time to properly reflect on the whole experience yet. Already we have signed up for the Great Wall of China though through Life Changing Challenges for August 2016 so please do check it out! Lots of people say to me all the time that i must take time out for me. Well youll be pleased to know that i am trying to do that now. Unfortunatly doing this means i get a little behind on things but i figured youd rather have late thank you letters and emails than none at all so i am trying my best. I am trying to start enjoying life again. I am going out, meeting new people and having (dare i say it) fun! I never thought this would happen again so i am enjoying it. This is a very difficult time of year so i need the distractions. We have written our first cheque for the first installment towards the DIPG element of the Instinct Programme through The Brain Tumour Charity which is very exciting! We are also still funding a DIPG project through the Childrens Brain Tumour Research Centre which we will have an update on very soon :-) Please always know that we work so very hard here at the Katy Holmes Trust. Some of our work here is obvious to see and some not so because it is behind the scenes. We are doing whatever is humanly possible to help find that cure just like all the other brain tumour charities. We cannot do this alone though and invite you to help us where possible by fundraising for us! There are so many of you doing this already which we appreciate so very much thank you xx Right, well i have a poorly Scarlet to take care of, 2 puppies racing around my feet thinking they own the place and a pile of emails to jump into! Dave will be out collecting tonight so look out for him! I will be out with Angel relaxing thanks to my lovely babysitter Bekii so i have that to look forward to :-) Have a great weekend everyone!
