Hello everyone. Since Converge 2K14 is around the corner, we would like to complete its list of events. We are glad to bring to you the first programming event of the year, AlgoFuzz 14.1. There have been some changes from the previous edition of the contest, which was the first of its kind hosted in our campus. This time the contest will be hosted online at codechef/ which is also our programming partner for the event. This has been done so as to encourage maximum participation and to ensure that the limited availability of seats in the computer lab does not remains a hurdle anymore. Six original questions have been cooked by Gaurav Dubey (9582973374) and Ayush Jaggi (9711150139) which will be served to you on: Date: February 7, 2014 Time: 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM Registration Link: converge14/algofuzz/ So if you feel that the language of any question is unclear or if there is some ambiguity, comment on the question page itself and one of us shall reply and solve your query. Those who have registered already are requested to register again because although the form has been live for some time, some changes have been made to it recently. Important Notes: 1) This is an individual contest. Duration is 3 hours. 2) Once youve registered, the link of the contest will be mailed to you on the same day of the contest. 3) There is no registration fee. Participation in programming contests shall be always free. :) 4) The contest is open for the students of JIIT (both Sector 128 and 62), JUIT and JUET. 5) You are to strictly abide by the CodeChef Code of Conduct, which is given here: discuss.codechef/questions/18662/does-codechef-have-any-code-of-conduct 6) You are responsible for the visibility of your code, or if it gets copied in any way. If youre using Ideone, please make sure that you set the visibility of your code to private (you need to have an account on Ideone for the same), and not secret. If it gets copied, youll be disqualified as well. You can learn more about the visibility of your code here: ideone/faq#visibility-of-a-code 7) DO NOT resort to unfair means or cheating in any form. Every code will be checked manually and if similarities are found between the codes of two or more contestants, all of them will be disqualified. Keep the spirit of competitive programming alive. :) 8) Editorials and solutions to the questions will be posted once the contest gets over so that you can see where you went wrong and why you werent able to solve that particular question. It doesnt matters if you dont win or if youre a mere beginner and are unable to solve even a single question. Everyone needs to start somewhere. Youll surely get to learn something and have a good experience. If youre a beginner, you wont get a better opportunity to give yourself a kick start. Such contests are a great way to hone your programming skills which will certainly help you during your placements as well. After all, it all boils down to practicing and competing. :) If you still have any lingering doubts in your mind, please feel free to clear it with any of us. Contact numbers have been already provided above. Good luck to all the participants. :) Happy Coding! :)
