Hello everyone, We hope all is well with everyone. We would like to invite you to check out TARTEs IndieGoGo Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to complete our budget gap for the upcoming production of Bald Boy the Musical. This is a great opportunity to help a passionate group of artists continue to make thoughtful work. Any amount that you can donate will go a very long way! The Turkish American Repertory Theater & Entertainment company was founded in May 2010, under the direction of Ayse Eldek-Richardson. Associate professor Zishan Ugurlu from the New School was the director of our show To Love… that was performed at Symphony Space. Sevin Ceviker (a Martha Graham alumnus) is our choreographer. Our TARTE writer group consists of Emre Ozpirincci (an award-winning writer), Ed Stevens (a Kennedy Award recipient), and myself. TARTE showcases Turkish culture and aspires to reach a broader audience by performing Turkish plays in English. We work with Turkish-American casts and perform original American plays. The main purpose of TARTE is to promote Turkish culture by creating original plays and other works of art by Turkish and American artists, as well as other international artists. By working as one and bringing various cultures together, we hope to reach a bigger audience. We have been working on this production and everything about it is original. Ayse Eldek-Richardson wrote the script, the music and the lyrics. DoReMi Productions, arranged and composed the music. Sevin Ceviker and Julie Ramirez will choreograph the show. We are very proud of the work that is being done and excited about its continued development. TARTE would be very grateful for you to help us reach our goal.
