Hello everyone. While Im not a turner (yet) I do keep it in mind for the future. I do Intarsia and yesterday I was at my fathers helping to cut down some trees that were dead or dying. Long story short I have some peach and mimosa limbs I wont need since they are not wide enough for me to mill. Many are 1.5-2.5 in diameter. Fresh cut still with all the bark on them. If anyone in the us is interested in these I will be happy to ship some to you. All I ask is you pay for the shipping and add a little for the effort or promise me a pen from the wood when its dry enough. Just a slim line will do. I have a collection of pens from friends I have sent wood to. I will seal the ends if you like to be sure they wont split. most of the limbs are 1.5-2 foot long. I will cut off as much as you like to make them fit in smaller boxes. Just trying to toss some other woods out there for people to use. I also have some maple that came from a large limb that fell in a storm. it had black rot in it so it really changed the coloring of the large part. I plan to slice some blanks from it also so again let me know if you might be interested. I have no idea the coloring of the smaller branches but the trunks of these trees were highly figured as you can see from these photos. I will send you all you want till I run out of the stuff I can not personally use in my intarsia (and maybe even then). Again all I ask is you cover shipping and either send me a pen or a little something after you are able to use the wood.Thank you Joe Adams
