Hello everyone, and thanks for the add. My hubby and I are about to do the unthinkable: adding an FIV+ cat to our household of nine FIV- cats. Are we crazy? We have 22 years of experience integrating new cats into an established household. This particular semiferal is 3 years old, healthy, and has already been neutered. He is non-aggressive and very lovable. Our other option is to find him a rescue or foster, to tear him away from a family who would love him. Our other cats are 13, 11, 9, 7, 6, 6, 6, 4 and 1. Their own needs, respectively, are currently urinary tract, alopecia, psychological, skin needs, hematomas (controlled with steroids), long hair, bladder issues, polydactylism, and nothing apparent for the youngest. We want this cat. Are we crazy?
