The nearby lake and recreation area (Kralingse Plas), forest (Kralingse Bos) and the Trompenburg Arboretum contrast nicely with the ultra-modern Brainpark business centre and the Alexandrium Shopping Centre. The Erasmus University Campus is also located here. Kralingen is extremely well-connected to public transport: commuters can reach Central Station in less than 20 minutes or can take advantage of Park Shuttle transport from Kralingse Zoom station to Capelle aan den Ijssels business park.
