Hello everyone :) just to let you all know, were all ok, stem cells have been harvested and were back at the hotel now :) a bit sore and achy in the hips, but it doesnt hurt as much as I thought it would! Ive only taken half the tramadol dose and (touch wood) that seems to be enough to keep it bearable for now, hopefully I can keep managing on the half dose - The less pills the better better me think! Still a bit groggy from the sedative, kinda disconnected from my body but Im sure by tomorrow that will be out of my system and Ill feel better in that sense :) Mums in a worse state than me, they did bloods on her to see how much she could safely give, so theyve taken one and a half as much from her! They went into both the front and back of her hips, so she is very sore and exhausted and sleeping right now, she was in theatre for much longer than me (I was in and out in half an hour, where poor mum was in the for an hour and a half!) Maria has been amazing and continues to be a rock, helping both physically with things like getting in and out of bed and steadying us when we walk, and also emotionally. We really couldnt have managed without her, so thank you Maria! (And the Emery family, Steve, Laura, Rachel, Sophie and Becca for letting us borrow her!) And of course huge thanks to all of you, whove supported me in so many ways, the incredible donations, events, messages of support both on here and in person, the letters and cards, it all means so much, I wish I could hug each and every one of you and thank you personally! Now roll on Thursday, when the stem cells will be implanted!!! Xxxx
