Hello everyone, just wanted to say thanks for continuing to add to the page and share your memories. There will be things that crop up in life all the time which trigger thoughts of Colin and his antics, or his generosity, or his kind-heartedness so we are never likely to forget the man or what he stood for; no matter which side of the fence you are on, what community you are from or which scene you belong to. This page, like Colin - holds no barriers or prejudice - we are all simply here to help each other through with stories of remembrance and it is again testament to him that we are able to do so. So just to keep you up-to-date with some plans we have afoot. We are looking into setting up a foundation in Colins memory which will cater for cross-community work in Belfast for getting kids into sport and also a music scholarship for one of the local colleges. Once this is sorted out then the fundraising will begin again, so those of you that wanted to donate to Colins Fund but were unable to will get the opportunity to do so then. We are also going to publish a book, so if you have a story to tell that you think is worth including then please send it to me at nikki77thoms@gmail, it would be handy if you have dates too so that it can be slotted into the right place/section and also if you have pictorial evidence then that would also be great (but not as important as the date(s). There are already some great tales on this page and I will read through them all again to get some material but send your stuff anyway along with any contact details so that you can be accredited. Thanks to all of you that send me the occasional private message, they help more than you will probably ever know. Some days I dont want to get out of bed, some days I get out of bed but dont want to leave the house - knowing I have such a large support network and an amazing bunch of friends sharing their grief helps to give me the inspiration and habitual kick up the butt I need to catch myself on and keep going. Ive just come from a band meeting with my brothers from Runnin Riot and we will never let the Riot be forgotten - we will have lots going on and things happening to keep the music alive for the next generation so make sure you keep up with the band page and look out for the news bulletins which will be coming your way in the not to distant future. Love and respect to each and every one of you - stay safe, stay close and tell your loved ones how you feel every day because we never know whats around the corner for any of us. Keep the Faith xxx
