Hello everyone, we are still trying to get the big boy back home. We have had so much conflicting advise it is very hard to know if are doing the right thing at times. This is having a huge impact on out normal very happy family life. We still struggle to believe that people want to kill Bruce when he has never bitten or attacked anyone or anything outside his yard. Ipswich Council have told us they will let Bruce go into another area as long as that council agrees but it isnt that simple. Bruce is our family pet and a great friend to us all. I supported the dangerous dog laws until I read them and that is when you realize it targets everyone. The law must change to allow people to protect themselves and their property. We have no choice other than to take this matter to court. If we lose in court we can then apply to surrounding councils to see if Bruce can live in their area. We wanted to get him out of the pound ASAP but it isnt possible. I hope that everyone who reads this understands that you cant trust nobody will walk past your warning signs. You have to lock your gates as well as have the signs and never think the near impossible wont happen. It has happened to us and our lives are forever changed.
