Hello fellow engineers! It is time to announce the IEEEXtreme 24h Programming Competition! Now if you say but I hate programing or Im not good at it thats OK, as long as you have one person that knows how to code you should be fine. IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members, supported by an IEEE Student Branch (Ryerson IEEE branch), advised and proctored by an IEEE member (TBA), compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems. Here are some things to note down: - All team members must have an IEEE membership to sign up, other people from other universities can be on your team (if you do not own a membership, you can get one here ieee.org/membership_services/membership/join/index.html) There are many amazing services and offers, as well as amazing networks to be made with an IEEE membership. It is $ 18 for the rest of the year! A small price to pay for such an awesome membership! - The teams must be comprised of 3 undergraduate students or 2 graduate students - FREE food and other accommodations WILL BE provided for the duration of the competition - Competition will be held at 8:00PM Friday, October 17, 2014 - Deadline to pre-register is 12:00PM October 2, 2014. You can pre-register here https://docs.google/a/ryerson.ca/forms/d/1FDQx4dceln8mQjXBfs-OEb_FXbXBsahdRHZ5Wzc47VU/viewform?usp=send_form - Programming languages accepted are C, C++, C#,Python,Python 3, Java,PHP, Perl,Ruby, Haskell, Clojure, Scala, Javascript, & Groo, none of these are preferred over others so you can choose whichever language is listed Hope to see you there, fun times ahead and great prizes to be won!
