Hello folks, I would like to find some new Facebook friends from all around the Globe. Ones who have the same interest in the following kind of medicinee.... I am from the Czech republic (EU, in the middle of the Europe) and I live in our capital city Prague. I graduated from the Trade academy in Prague and I am the owner of the small Czech bussines company. I am not the clinician / doctor / healtcare worker but I am interested in the special kind of the human medicine: Epidemiology, travell medicine, tropical diseases and BSL 3 / BSL 4 etiological agens. I admite, that my interest is little bit strange, because of my seccondary education, but I am really interested in this topic... And why I have started to studdy right this issues in details? Like many people from all around the world I have found two amazing books in the bookshop: THE HOT ZONE by Richard Preston and EBOLA by William T. Close (In Czech language translation). I have started with reading and could not banish the thought ofthis horrible but interesting part of our nature. Now, I closely studdy the articles from CDC, WHO, Promedmail, Wikipedia, Medscape etc. I search for new informations about bacckground, Signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment,workup, clinical presentation, supportive care, patophysiology, Ultrastructure and pathogenesis, epidemiology, Mechanisms of dispersion, etc. I am also interested in at least 30 viruses capable of causing several serious diseases: Arenaviridae, Flaviviridae, Filoviridae, Buniaviridae and of course in the illnesses caused by this BSL 3 / BSL 4 agens... I am mainly focused on the family Filoviridae and its two genes: Ebola virus and Marburg virus and their species... Besides this I am focused on the BSL 3 / BSL 4 containment / laborattories, Personal protective equipment, field / epidemiological work in afected areas, social education in the Ebola / Marburg endemic areas etc. We have one from at least 15 BSL 4 contaiment / facility all around the Globe also in our country: CBO Techonin (Czech Army center of biological security)....
