Hello folks, We will be set up at the Regeneration store located at 701 W Main Street, Mitchell, IN. We will set up between the hours of 5:00 to 9:00 Monday - Friday, September 23rd thru the 27th . We need volunteers to man the tables. We will be set up in the doorway getting letters of support for our Christmas packages. We will also sell T-shirts & misc. We also need volunteers to be in the parade on Saturday the 28th of September. I have copied the parade rules for your convenience. Parade rules and information: 1. No candy, flyers or objects shall be thrown from parade units or distributed along the parade route. All candidates for political office must ride on their respective party’s float. 2. Signs directing you to the parade staging area will be on both highways leading into Mitchell. Please follow the signs. 3. Float contest participants should have their unit at the parade staging area no later than 11:45 a.m. Float judging will begin at noon and be completed by 1:15 p.m. 4. All parade units should arrive at the parade staging area no later than 11:45 p.m. 5. The parade will move at a “fast walk” pace. Please try to avoid gaps in the parade, staying within 50 feet of the unit in front of you. 6. The parade will begin at 1:45 p.m., with the lead units approaching the reviewing stand at 2:00 p.m. 7. By participating in the parade, you agree to hold harmless the City of Mitchell, Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce, Inc., and the Persimmon Festival Committee from all liability and/or injury that may occur from participation in this event. Our October monthly dinner will be October 11th at El Compadre located at 3126 John Williams Blvd, Bedford. Dinner will be from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Our friend Ray Lindsey has asked that we share some information for anyone interested in helping with the Haunted School for Halloween. Ray Lindsey The Oolitic Festival Committee will be sponsoring the Oolitic Haunted School, Fridays & Saturdays, October 18th & 19th, 25th & 26th 7pm-11pm at the Oolitic Community Center. We are in need of volunteers to dress up on these nights. If you would like to join in the fun, contact Ray Lindsey at 812-675-1379 or message us at Facebook/OoliticFestival. Some props and costumes are available. To tour the school for ideas and inspiration, contact us a day before you want to visit. Happy Halloween. God bless our troops, veterans & their families! Sincerely, Kimberly Johnson
