Hello friend, The year is coming to an end. What better time - TopicsExpress

Hello friend, The year is coming to an end. What better time to reflect on, well, the previous year? I want you to think on this (and if you are up for it, comment what you came up with) for a while. Think of the last year and the goals you set yourself. Think about achievements. Think about losses and setbacks. State 3 things you achieved in 2014: a goal met, an accomplishment (can be a mindset, a new skill, or something more quantifiable), and a significant moment of personal growth. They can all be the same thing if thats true. State 3 things you will work on for 2015: a goal, an accomplishment, and something to improve or expand upon in personal growth. All of these things can be large, major events - a child, a promotion, a championship title, being nominated for something, a number of shares for an article, a number of blog posts, a weight goal (lifting or losing), a trip, visiting family, etc. It can also be minor or subtle - a new way of viewing something, a better understanding of a process, increased proficiency in something, a new word learned, a number of hugs given, etc. Self reflection is neither a time to gloat nor a time to allow sorrows to overwhelm you. Use it to get closure, to step back and see big picture as well as zoom in and analyze events. Measure against what you wanted to do and what you did. If you succeeded, why? If you didnt, why not? Its a time for honesty with yourself. A chance to look back, process, and plan. Do this for a little while today. Again, tell me you 3 and 3 in the comments if you like. /grego
