Hello friends , As promised .I have news for you. I have a request from Parkin Raine himself . Through his niece Gillian Harrison. He would like to do something for Teesdale .Leave it a legacy if you will. So between us . Parkin Raine being the Engine and Myself been the wheels. (Thanks Gill) I think I have a plan. To start with I am planning a series of exhibitions around Barnard castle of Parkins collection. I am going to contact the Village hall consortium and then make sure EVERY TOWN AND VILLAGE in Teesdale gets an exhibition of Parkins collection. At the same time I will be setting up a web page (will need help with this) . Where people can come and view for free. His collection,If you want to you could order copies of his prints. Parkin nor I will make ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from any monies made . (we have an idea on that more on that in a little bit) .Barnard castle and TEESDALE WILL! All profits ,As per Parkins wishes will be made available for projects in The towns or villages of Teesdale . For instance Romaldkirk puts on an Exhibition of Parkins work. Then Romaldkirk gets the profits to benefit Romaldkirk. I hope you see what we are trying to doing here as this is just the beginning. I have a vision of a Tourist info ,/Barnard castle shop, Books , pictures , Cups mats ect ect .......... So need your input. I will have to set up a trust fund for the monies raised to be put into. I think it is only right that you get a say on this as you are the fuel that has driven the wheels .This is just the idea stage . But NO ONE BUSINESS or person is going to profit only the Towns and villages themselves.
