Hello friends! Here are some things that I think go without saying but Im going to mention them anyway: -it is definitely good etiquette and also in your best interest to ask the artist of a fandesign or AU for permission to cosplay their work. most artists who get asked this enough times have a blanket statement on their stance, whether it be go for it!, depends on which picture, or ask me directly, but if you cannot find artists permission you need to ask for it. after the cosplay is completed and youre sharing pictures, credit the artist then too. -if you must repost a picture or photo instead of sharing it directly from the OP, credit the original source! this is the reason that watermarks are getting bigger and gaudier. do you see the point Im trying to make here? give credit where credit is due. if it were your work, Im sure youd appreciate the same sentiments being extended to you.
