Hello friends! I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving holiday! I took a break from work and Facebook. I am back now. The reason I took a break from Facebook is something I must explain to you all. I started this group in 2013 and never in my wildest dreams thought it would take off like this! THE main thing that attracted most of you were the photographs of my friend Lee Smith. While we were getting stoned or surfing or skateboarding or fishing or playing Frisbee, Lee was taking pictures of it all! Lee makes his living as a photographer. Lee was kind enough to allow me to share his photos on this page. Evidently, a few people have copied his photos and removed his watermark(his name on bottom of photo) and claimed them as their own. This is not cool at all! And then some had the attitude that if it is on the internet then they can take it. This is not right! I missed the exchange of words a few weeks ago but it upset Lee so much that he asked me to remove all of his photos! Now I am upset! I deactivated my FB account until I chilled out because I did not want to say anything I would regret. Please people, most photographers will allow you to share THEIR photos if you ask them. How would you like someone to take credit for work you have done? I learned about photographers property from my friend Don Boyd back in 2009 when I shared some of his photos on my page. I totally respect any photographers right to their own property no matter how much I like it! I totally support Lee Smith and I understand why he is pissed! I only hope he will some day allow us all to enjoy his photos from those great days at Haulover Beach!!
