He forwards this letter from his friend, Ukrainian professor regarding the recent clashes in Kiev, asking to spread the word and use the leverage of democracy to help his people. Reasons: 6 peaceful protesters are dead so far (fire-shot or tortured), around 200 are kidnapped or arrested, more than 300 wounded…. This is a WAR for a right to live in your own country! I’m proud for my nation – we struggle, we have no return – it’s better to be die standing up than on the kneels. Foreign friends: I ask you about a favor: please, give a call (or contact in any other applicable way) your government officials (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to start sanctions against Ukrainian regime of yanukovych, make a statement about the recent events (especially, yesterday massacre) in Ukraine and disseminate this position using all measures. This is a zero-cost measure you can take, still there is a chance this will save lives of Ukrainians. Dictatorship regime is about to fall, we need zero-tolerance from abroad.
