Hello friends... Its no secret that I am a big animal lover - especially dogs, but just about anything with soulful eyes has my attention. I was recently contacted by a family with a dog in crisis. I do not know these people nor am I connected to them in any way. However, I do understand completely their desire to do *anything* to save their four-pawed child. I also understand after Ravens recent illness that the expenses to do so can be astronomical. In order to verify this request, I have contacted the VCA hospital in Virginia and they have confirmed Shelbys condition, necessary treatment, and that yes... its going to cost a small fortune. So this request from one of our own is real. If you feel led to contribute to Shelbys treatment, then thats wonderful. If you are not able to at this time, I am sure that prayers are also deeply valued by Shelby and her family. Whatever happens, I am grateful to people like Shelbys family who rescue an older dog (they are sooo hard to place) and then stand by her no matter what. Again, no pressure. No judgment either way.
