Hello friends, Some couple of months ago, I notified you of my humble intentions to vie for the House of Representatives seat of Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency at the National Assembly. It is a truism that the current occupant, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime has done a tremendous job in effectively and efficiently representing us and so, therefore, the constituents needs an equally superlative successor groomed with the requisite CHARACTER, COMPETENCE AND CAPACITY to advance the bar already raised by Barr. Jime. Conscious of this evident fact and considering the enormity of the task at hand, knowing that the desperate circumstances we found ourselves as a country and as a people demands desperate measures from well tested and proven minds, I decided to consult my three higher powers: family, friends and God almighty. My impeccable credentials and natural configurations also prepared me to be a vibrant representative: Lawyer by profession, Activist by nature, Politician by circumstance, Orator by gifting and Humanist by divine programming. I proceeded to make adequate consultations with stakeholders/mass of the people of the 21 wards within my constituency; young and old, rich and poor, cutting across the different shades of ethnicity, religion, party, orientation, et al. All I got was an unmitigated quantum of blessing and nods of approval. My people knew that what we have already achieved in the past is an indicator of what we can and must achieve tomorrow. EVERYBODY agrees that yours truly is a surest square peg in the square hole for this job. The few who had a course to differ do so on the grounds of zoning not in my favour. Fortunately, quality cannot be zoned! And as a metropolitan constituency where everebody is a stakeholder, excellence becomes the most desirable at this defining moment. Even when I have worked closely with all relevant political stakeholders from my state/zone/constituency spanning over four tenures, I have no godfather, for God almighty and the people remain my Godfathers. The fierce urgency of now demands that this time must be different; and our voices could be that difference. I need your prayers and support! I am now fired up and ready to go!!! #JUST BELIEVE!
