Hello friends. Time to ride on the Proverbs Express Lesson #5. TEMPTATION OUTSIDE: Today we begin at Prov. 1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not . Away from home, from the security of his father and mother, the young man runs into the sinner; The unredeemed sinner These are individuals that live in sin, practices sin, and entices others to commit sin. The bible is very clear of what the response should be. Consent not . Or, Just Say NO. The Godly teachings thought to the child by Mom and Dad, gives him an alternative. He has some options, he has a foundation of right living. Without this foundation, the young man is easily enticed and consumed. The sinner wants something for nothing. He wants to share in the glory, but evades the fight. He desires what others have, but are not willing to work for it. In Verses 11-13 the sinner calls the young man to join them in laying wait, to rob the innocent. To swallow them up like the grave. To fill their houses with ill gotten gain. But the son is instructed not to walk with them. ( Go the other way ) dont even travel on the same road with them. ( v 14,15 ). Because, their feet ( Transportation ) run to evil, and is in a hurry to kill the innocent. ( v 16 ). Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. And they lay wait for their own blood; they lark privily for their own lives. ( v 17, 18 ). My friends, someone is always watching. You may not see them but you can rest and be sure, that God is watching us all. How should we respond to sin ? How should we respond to those that entices us to sin ?We must Stand on Gods word, and say no to sin. Until next time. Walk with God.
