Hello fringe (bangs)! Yes Im an oddball for cutting my own hair when I feel like it and when I can finally do it. My daughter likes my hair long and fringe-less like hers but since her 18th partys all done im free! Jauiee is the reason for this confidence or should we say false confidence. Since he was a child cutting his hair has been a challenge. He wouldnt sit still , hed scream and protest. He needs to be restrained basically may it be my terrible hair cutting skills at home or at the one hairdresser in Sydney that hed go to - someone has to hold him down while sitting on that someones lap. Of course when he grew taller and stronger that was impossible. His last ever hairdresser trip ended up on a phone call I made to the hairdresser asking if there was anything broken I need to pay for or Id anyone was hurt. Thankfully there wasnt though we were sure a vase or drinking glass crashed on the floor. Since that last visit when he was 14 or 15 I guess, I am his barber. He hates the sound of the electric hair clipper/shaver and is so impatient with it, hurting himself and yes hitting me each time I cut his hair say once every month or two. I had to learn how to cut with scissors and a comb. In the shower in the best place as he likes the shower and I use running water so he doesnt itch as much. He wouldnt wear any wrap or towels around him at all. There were times I used the plastic poncho we got from Disney or movie world but it doesnt last as he gets hot under and eventually rips it off. I stopped cutting his hair in the shower when the drain got clogged one day. For at least a year now I cut Jaustres hair with an electric hair trimmer and only takes me 20-30min instead of an hour! I still get the odd hits to my upper arm if he gets impatient or annoyed but nothing more than that. Also no sharp scissors to contend with - you could imagine some of the accidents Ive had with that over the years. So there I am a pretend hairdresser because of my son
