Hello from Pamela Gee: Utah FEstival Opera and Musical Theatre. I have information to share with you that will be helpful as you connect with your community. I am not expecting advertising of this in any formal way but if you know of a teacher in any grade K-12 that has expressed interest in doing creative arts in the classroom, (with professional assistance in Drama, Music and Art) particularly something performance oriented, I have a workshop coming to your area that fits the bill. When: September 7, 2013 Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre will be in your area to instruct and prepare interested teachers in participating in the Opera by Children program during the 13-14 school year. Our hope is to create a lifetime relationship for the duration of their teaching career in each classroom. LOCATION: 919 East Brigham Road St. George, Utah 84790 TIME: The workshop runs 8am-5 pm. The cost: $30 USOE Relicensure available: 9 points!!! May be exchanged for USOE credits or USU credits upon the completion of the opera by the class. There is very limited space available so emailing me as soon as possible is highly recommended. There is also a Sept 14th Workshop which is the same as above except it is in Logan on another day. So, since timing is not always convenient when we are locally located for area teachers, some still choose to travel to beautiful Logan for the training. We can’t blame them.
