Hello good family and friends. I know a handful of you were planning on stopping down to the Sawgrass show tomorrow (Sept 25th) at the Dayton, OH courthouse square for a lunchtime performance from 11:30-1, but I cant make it. Honestly, Im not sure how to bring this up, but Ive had a Crohns disease diagnosis (a digestive disease) for about 15 years that Ive been living with and Ive been struggling a great deal lately. Presently, the doctors are doing all they can to make this a more livable situation and without them I dont know what I would do. Im here in Ohio and my family is living out of state and Im facing one of the more difficult times of my life. That being said, thank you to my wonderful local friends who have already been there for me at the present time, youre my family too. I know we all struggle and hurt and life is tough, but as hard as it is to say, I need some support and prayers. Its so damn hard to miss shows due to my health. I know many of you are aware of how hard Ive worked to be where I am in making a life of music, which is hard to do regardless, so adding this burning pain and digestive disfunction to the mix is....well, not very fun. Thanks for letting me get this out. I know there is a lot of love out there if I just communicate and reach out. I also know Ill have some Facebook post regret like we all have probably had, but I figure its gonna be trumped by the importance of reaching friends and family out there who I love and who love me most. So there it is. I hope we can all have a good day with this beautiful weather and know greater rewards await our struggles. Im truly grateful for all my blessings in this crazy world we live in, for the life Ive lived and I could die a happy man right now, but Im gonna keep going. So like it or not, here I am.
