Hello its 2:41 in morning and I cant sleep, so Ill write my update. I found a empty hospital room and sat at the window and looked out the window at the beautiful night sky, wondering when will I wake up from this nightmare. Then walked back to my daughters hospital room and realized two things: one my daughter still was there and two my loving devoted husband lay sleeping in the room for love for me and my daughter. And somewhere out in the hill country (in good hands) is a fantastic young man, my son Luke. I am blessed. God has blessed me to be the wife and mother of these unique individuals and I was blessed to watch over them, and thats exactly what I intend to do.😊 Ok enough about my world , lets talk about Rilees It started with a good dear friend staying the night and getting me coffee 1st thing. Thank you Traci Smith. Then it was Dr Hancock who lined out the day. Take Rilee off two Sedatives , morphine and verset. Great, now we were going to have a withdrawal kind of day, but it meant progress. Then the chest X-ray came back actually better than the day before. Then the left chest tube came out. I had nice visits from Dear friends. Some of my sweet Sisters on the Fly sisters came by and were ready to go to work organizing an army of caregivers to help watch over Rilee and they will because thats the kind of women they are.😘 Rilee started waking more and more. I believe today may see her very awake. Good and bad because the levity of her situation is going to hit hard.:( In the evening morphine withdrawal set in and Scotty her daddy was there for her. While my entire Bunco group came to take me to dinner and bring me all of Lukes school supplies. By that time Rilee was in a bad way and so was I. My pd set in and my legs had given out for day and so I sent my Bunco group on and decided it would be a long night so I better get some rest, Im glad I did because now that Rilee is more awake the more alert we will need to be. I heard them trying to get her feeding tube reinserted. She had pulled it during the night! Then of course the dr that is now my nemesis had to battle it out (quite civilly I might add, we used our nurse as mediator), and decided Rilee would go without till in morning when more level minds were on board. As I said, I am blessed to watch over and protect:)
