Hello, its me back again. I have moved into my new house and all - TopicsExpress

Hello, its me back again. I have moved into my new house and all has gone well. That is to say, all has gone well, apart from our lovely boy Harley. I know that some of you have had ideas regarding treatment for Cruciate Ligament Disease especially as it is a fairly common ailment. I have read what you all have had to say and let me say, I have explored as many avenues as possible. Sadly, Harleys knees are in a very bad way and for an 18 month old dog, its devastating to see him suffering. He still wants to walk and charge around and given the chance, he will do so, but he suffers for it major. He will sit down and struggle to even get up again, he will look up at me almost pleading with me to make it better. I have to lift him in and out of the car. He is on Metacam every day which is an excellent anti-inflammatory and pain killer however it is still costly to purchase this for him and it in itself is not without risks. Harley already has arthritis and if he even had the operation, which I simply cannot afford, it will not prevent this getting worse. My partner is facing inevitable redundancy any day now and even feeding two dogs will be hard enough right now as it is. We are all devastated, but after speaking with our vet again today, we all know what choice we are being faced with. My daughter and I are in bits.
