Hello ladies. I was hoping those of you who blog professionally might be able to give me some advice. I started my blog Cardiff Mummy Says back in August. Its going well (I hope!) and I am having a lot of fun with it. However, now that I am starting work again following maternity leave for baby number three, Id like to be able to make some money from it. I have had some interest from local companies that are relevant to my readership and I am in the process of putting together a media pack. The thing is, Im not really sure how much I should be charging for adverts and sponsored posts etc. Im also not really sure what is considered good in terms of viewing figures. Im averaging around 12,000 page views per month at the moment (this month has had 18,000) and have 520 on my blogs Facebook page and 1,200 on Twitter. Ive found people are quite cagey about revealing readership figures, so I have absolutely no idea how this compares. Ive not had a great deal of time to devote to the blog in all honesty, what with three children under five, but now that I am back working part time, Im hoping to be able to post more regularly, more actively market it and grow my readership. I would really appreciate any advice from any of you with experience in this area. If you dont feel comfortable talking about figures here, then maybe you would consider DMing me.
