Hello, loves! Wow. This year has seen all kinds of changes! But we are resilient little creatures and with our sweat, blood, glitter and by staying positive, weve turned any situation into a good time. :) It looks like change is acoming again! We were brought over to the Brink by Christopher Tanzi, Greg Skeen, and Cindy Barbalock during a difficult time in the community. As you know, its the people who make a building a home, and weve had an amazing few months at the Brink; we really loved the venue. However, after Chris Tanzi and his family left, many of the things we were promised didnt come to fruition. But we powered through, as we do. Now Greg Skeen and Cindy Barbalock have left or are leaving the Brink, and its been decision time for me and my Vixens. I just want whats best for my community of lesbos and lesbros! (seriously, you guys. I was out of town for two weeks and ALL THIS HAPPENED. I had about 30 seconds to wrap my brain around all the changes the moment I stepped off the airplane!) In the meantime, RBARR has shut down, as many of you knew it would, with the problem areas being bought out and replaced . The new management contacted me and expressed their desire to reopen the venue as the iconic Southern Nights, and to bring back the many faces who made Orlando love that building for so long. To give us the place where we can do what we love, for the community that we love, just with major upgrades all around us. They realized that RBARR had no right to try to fix things that didnt need fixing, and that they made some seriously bad decisions. But the new management has learned from those mistakes and wants to make the building the best it can be for this community. I stand behind that. Its the people who make the difference wherever you go, and I really loved the idea of coming home to my family of the past 8 years - to the familiar faces of Leann , Dixie , Gabrielle and more, to no longer have to be split up (mom and dad, stop fighting!), and to be a team once again in the community. More than that, Greg Skeen, my beloved manager from Brink, is on board with the new Southern Nights, and that basically sealed the deal for me. So, babes and boys, it is with great pleasure that I announce that the Vixens are GOING HOME! We will be kicking off the lesbian night on Saturday the 16th - and from there on, we will be on our stage on our dance floor at midnight every Saturday hereafter. Hallelujah!
