Hello members and friends, after a slow start we finally got - TopicsExpress

Hello members and friends, after a slow start we finally got underway yesterday and had a gr8 day on the water. We picked up a hitchhiker by the name of James Pitcher who took advantage of our invite after the sailing school was cancelled. So with 12 persons on board (a full crew)we headed off for a days sail training on Steak and kidney.Ray Miller had a one on one lesson on helming from Peter Gallagher, with trimming pointers being passed on from John King. With the winds picking up to 25/30 knots we decided to stay on the western side of the harbour and clocked the ol girl going 10knots ,sailing under jib only.As there was no local races on ,we had the whole west harbour to ourselves so with plenty of water ,we fine tuned our tacking ,jibbing and granny jibbing skills in readiness for the winter race series and the upcoming Balmain Regatta .Thanks everyone for enjoying themselves so much and being patient with our slow start to the day. Club Capt Frank Lagudi.
