Hello my friends. I did not give an update yesterday, but I spent - TopicsExpress

Hello my friends. I did not give an update yesterday, but I spent the night last night with Vicki in the hospital and feel that I can give a more accurate update now. Wednesday, Vicki had a bout with a spiked fever and atria fibrillation. She was on medicine for both. Yesterday evening when I arrived at the hospital, she was off both meds and holding her own with the heart rate and the temp. I was told that she was given a sedative to help her days and nights straightened out the night before last. She was agitated some anyway. Last night, she did not sleep so well either, but was fairly restful. A CT scan was done this morning at 3:35 and I left before the results were read. She was sleeping and snoring when I left. During the night, I had her singing Yes Jesus loves me. I started the song and when she got it, she began to sing with me. The neurologist said that the ability to sing would come easier for her than talking. At times, she would spontaneously say something. I told her that I was going to sleep on the recliner and in a moment she said, lazy boy. She said it as clearly as you or I could. Spontaneous utterances come out as clearly as you want, but when she tries to say something, it is very difficult. With prompting, she can say some things, but not long sentences. She is making very good progress for the shape she is in. The doctors were hoping to move her out of ICU today and into a step down room, still in the hospital side. After being monitored there for a couple of days , send her back to Rehab. She is as positive and up beat as she can be under the circumstances. Her smile has won the hearts of every staff member she has met. Keep her in prayer because God is listening. We can see the effects of what continuous prayer can do. Thank you all so much. I love you all. Sorry for typing this so late tonight. I am a bit tired.
