Hello my loyal and trustful face book friends. I know it is late, but I stayed at the hospital a bit longer tonight than I meant to. Add to that the fact that I was completely famished, I have been hope long enough to disrobe, check comments on here and now I can give an update on how Vicki was when I left. Some of you may have already heard that the Physical Therapy team had her up early this morning on her feet. She was easily able to support herself on the left leg and they thought she would simply cave on the right side. To their surprise, Vicki actually tried to catch herself with her right leg. She wasnt successful, but she tried. That was a good sign. Later in the day when the staff turned her (they do that every 2 hours) she was not comfortable on her right side. She has told me many times that she likes to sleep on her left side. Miss feisty pulled the pillow from her back and the one from under her head and made herself as comfortable as she could. Also today, they began feeding her liquid food through the nasal cannula and it consisted of calories that she will need to gain strength for the long battle ahead. The results of answered prayers are being seen each day. Vicki is getting just a bit better every day, but it is baby steps. She is not completely out of danger yet, but she is getting better. For example, she was awake longer today than any day before. Every day I am happily surprised at the difference. Please continue praying. God loves for us to ask Him for things, and this request is a very wonderful one to be asking. I tell Vicki each day about the great outpouring from her friends and what a multitude of friends she has. Thank you all so much and remember, I love you all.
