Hello, my name is Marissa. I was rescued from the shelter in just the nick of time, because I had a terrible upper respiratory infection. I was already in that awful room where cats never come out when my foster mom came to get me. I spent two weeks all by myself in the bathroom with a vaporizer and a small space heater. I didn’t want to eat because I couldn’t smell anything. On the first day in my new home I had a stillborn kitten! Over the next three days, I had two more, and I had to have help with one of them because it would not come out no matter how hard I tried. I had to take lots of medicine and my foster mommy fed me with an eyedropper. Those were some sad times, but just look at me now! I am healthy! I have had all my shots, and even better, I’ve been spayed so I will never have to go through that sad experience again. My foster mom thinks I was just too young to be a mom. I am such a sweetheart now that I just know you will fall in love with me at first purr. Am I not simply gorgeous with my little black nose? I love to play and I am super affectionate. I have lots of energy and I move very quickly. When I first had the run of the house I hid under a bed for a whole week, but now there is no room I won’t spend time in. Even the big old psycho dog here doesn’t frighten me. I love my foster people, but I still need a forever home!
