Hello once again from Drive, This has been another really fun and interesting year. We have continued to seek new adventures and fresh places and events, as well as continuing to play some of our favorite spots in OC and surrounding areas and are well into our fourth year as a band. We kicked off the New Year with a great night in Seal Beach on New Year’s eve at local favorite The Hangout. Aaron and the staff are friends and we always enjoy playing there. We ventured in to Ventura County, Oxnard for a fun Strawberry Festival pre-show and hung out in southern OC, Mahe’ in Dana Point. We helped welcome in a great new place in Seal, Bistro St. Germain, as well as our first time at Del Mar for The San Diego Fair. We played our third consecutive OC Fair once again, rocking the Hangar. It has remained a great source of enjoyment for us as well as our friends and families. We still love to take the stage and play the great rock/new wave sounds of The Cars. We truly appreciate all the support we have received over the last few years and we have made lots of new friends. It has truly been a blast. We have received and incredible honor this year, as we have been invited to play for the fans of The L.A. Angels of Anaheim at The Big A, Anaheim Stadium on Friday August 29th. This is very special to several of us personally, being lifelong Angel fans. This event is amazing considering they chose 8 bands to play on special Friday nights this season and we were chosen from several thousand applicants, truly blessed I’d say, a pinnacle. This is actually going down as the 100th show for Drive, absolutely remarkable. Come and celebrate the milestone with us! There is a very special deal on game seats for this show. Online only, you can pick up field box, view, as well as any other available seat for this night for fifteen dollars. This is in conjunction with given night and reference of band at: angels/band This is also a game between the Angels and the Oakland A’s , who are currently battling it out for a division title and ultimately another trip to the world series. We hope to see many of you out there for the show and the game. This will be a great evening of music and baseball, two of my favorite things.
