Hello the KIITians out there Heres a good news for those who are good at writing. A workshop on Wikipedia is going to be conducted in our university. Interested students need to create an account in wikipedia in order to apply. plz log on to en.wikipedia.org, and go to Create account (top right) and come ready with ur Wikipedia user accounts. Here is the module of the workshop: Session 1 (in auditorium, projector required): 30-45 mins A. Introduction to Wikipedia, worlds largest online encyclopedia made by volunteers around the world B. Why students need to edit Wikipedia C. How to edit Wikipedia articles D. Policies of Wikipedia (Encyclopedic writing, Notability, References, Neutral Point of View) Session 2: Demonstration of Wikipedia editing (20 mins) A. Searching articles B. [Edit] button C. Finding a mistake in an article and Making corrections D. Advanced options (Bold, Italics, Referencing/Citation, Talking with fellow Wikipedians) Session 3: Hands-on session (required computer lab with Internet connection): 30 mins Session 4: Staying connected and pot-workshop feedback: 5 mins # Imagine a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge.
