Hello there, just after a bit of advice on a copyright violation. - TopicsExpress

Hello there, just after a bit of advice on a copyright violation. I am mainly an actress who does a bit of modelling, and occasional photography. I also run a theatre company specialising in historical drama, and do a lot of the promo photography of my cast. I have just found a medieval chivalry/ knights facebook page using one of our medieval promo photos from a show a few years ago (Picture is of an actor, dressed as a Knight Templar, kneeling on grass by an old church as promo for the part of the play, with in part was about the arrests of the Templars in 1307) without our permission, or even a credit. I wouldnt mind if they credited the photo to the theatre company, since they can only have got it from our official website or social network, but they have actually tagged the page owner, as the photo owner instead. Since I am the photographer (as well as the costumer) and the founder of said theatre company, I am somewhat annoyed. I have posted a comment on the photo to state (with links) the picture owners details, and that I wouldnt have minded it being shared if they contacted me and arranged a correct credit). That is within the first half hour of it being posted. They are getting hundreds of likes on the picture and dozens of shares, all crediting that page owner. I have asked them to please get in touch to arrange the image being credited correctly, and that I will give it 12 hours (I am away for a day or so after that). The guy who is tagged in the image appears to be in Brazil, from as much as I can see of his public Facebook. If he does not credit the picture correctly, I want to take it further than just a removal, due to the currently dozens of shares in turn from his page. What would my next step be?
