Hello, this is a message from Killarney Secondary to remind parents and guardians of the two upcoming free and very informative workshops at Killarney. The first workshop is BUILING BRIDGES WITH YOUR TEEN High school (and the teen years) is a transition for the whole family. Come to the Killarney School Library on Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:45 pm for a workshop on parenting teens through grade 8 and beyond. Topics include teen development, whats typical and whats not, why communication matters and what works. The SACY parent support workers will host this interactive session and there will be refreshments. The second workshop is CAPACITY CAFE on Thursday, January 30th. Come to the Capacity Cafe and learn about teens and youth culture directly from young people. Meet youth who have volunteered to help parents understand the pressures and thinking of young people. This workshop is for PARENTS--come prepared to be amazed and moved. The workshop stars at 6:30 pm with the registration check in and light dinner at 6:15 pm.
