Hello to all members of GCE/AYC Programs! I wish you all are the best moments and doing great with your daily bases Reading other students’ stories was my great maintenance which inspired me to write a little bit about myself. As we know better, life had given as gift to everyone so, it must be utilized with good Well, this shafiullah Ahmadi S/O Hamdullah one of the GCE/AYC Students in Mia Omar high school. I am very happy for sharing my story of the bad condition which I passed. I was born at the time when my family was passing the days of immigration in Pakistan because the life condition here Afghanistan was not fair and paved at the time. And usually the economic situation was not enough good that’s why we hugged each and every kind of wages for making a living for our family. I was really interested of getting education but unfortunately I couldn’t follow my school in public and governmental school which is free of charge. So, when I got to 5years old then my enthusiasm has strengthened me and my family pressured me a lot and obliged me to start my school in private school although I knew well I couldn’t complete the school because of my poor economy. But sometimes things are happening as good as we can’t imagine that’s why my school was running happily and I could learn my daily lessons with enough enthusiasm. Besides I started English too in a private course. I had a very kind elder brother by the name of Waris who was graduated from school and had a job as a cashier. He supported me always for any tiny piece of work in my life and paid me for following my school and English courses every time. But one day when he was on the way and coming toward home after a long time he has spent in workplace, has been kidnapped by some kidnappers and robbers. Believe me this was the worst news to our family and whole lifetime because from one side he was our family brother and from other side this was the only trust of our family to be supported in this high fluctuated life. And he was disappeared for two months and our entire family was very anxious about and suffered the loneliness of my brother. Then after some inquiries and searching we could find the way of where my brother was and paid a lot against to emancipate my brother from kidnappers though we didn’t have a loaf of bread to be eaten but we borrowed a lot and got him free from kidnappers. In the period i left my school and English course and tried a lot to pay the loaded loans and shortly I can say that, our days and nights were complete narrowed in Pakistan thus, my family decided to be re-back to our own beloved homeland (Afghanistan) and we came and dwelled here in Nangarhar Province. In a little time our economy could to be stood on its feet and let me once again to start my school and English. And I started my school once again from 9th grade in Mia Omar high school and English from level three in Kabul English language center and prolonged them till to be ended. Now look! How I joined GCE? I was at 11th grade when I heard about GCE/AYC program and I registered myself for the entry test too because I was graduated from English and needed to learn computer, internet too that’s why I decided to follow them here in GCE/AYC program free of charge and could to be passed in the entry test. I can’t exaggerate but I shortly can say that’s I learned completely a lot in GCE/AYC and it made me smart and ready for the advanced technological glob. Now I am graduated from school and from hand I teach English classes voluntarily in GCE/AYC and from other side I myself am learning in daily bases in the program. At the end let me have a chance to thank form GCE/AYC launchers, donors, head office and all IT Staff members for providing such facilities for Afghan youth here in Jalalabad and train them in new technology. I am especially thankful of my teacher (Besmil) to who always inspired me and encouraged me for anything. Now it should not be left unsaid that, through following GCE/AYC now I can support my family by just myself. Thanks GCE/AYC, you impacted my life very much!!! Regards, Shafiullah Ahmadi from Mia Omar AYC lab
