Hello to my FB friends! Day 4 of a week of 3 things Im grateful for! (1) I am grateful for the time I spent in the United States Air Force from 1971-75 and managing to get out with an Honorable Discharge! I was very fortunate to get all the benefits that came along with that because I stupidly went AWOL a couple of times by staying in Dot after my official leave was over. I wanted to continue partying in Dot. The government could very easily have charged me with desertion as the War in Vietnam was ongoing. So needless to say I was very, very fortunate. (2) I am grateful for the VA despite the controversy they are going through today. I have always been served with respect and dignity. If there was one hospital where I would feel comfortable in it would be the VA. To me the ones that complain about the VA are very ungrateful. (3) I am grateful that there is a place that serves Vets called Vet Services. They have been there when Ive needed assistance. Many thanks to them! .........to be continued
