Hello wonderful followers! We know we have been asking a lot out of you, asking you to visit your local Senate and House representatives AND county commissioners. It can be a lot to continually be reaching out to politicians and government officials in general, but trust us, it is worth it. If housing vouchers are cut even more this year in the HUD budget, even more people will be unable to afford their housing. This is one of the leading causes of homelessness, and HUD needs to be there to help. Unfortunately, Senate and House representatives do not seem to understand the critical need for housing vouchers, and it is OUR job to explain it to them. It is the job of Senate and House representatives to reflect the needs and concerns of their constituents, but they need to hear your voice! Therefore, you need to email your representatives ASAP to explain to them the need for continuing the number of housing vouchers in the HUD budget.
