Hello world, A teeny weeny bit of light. I was at a peace - TopicsExpress

Hello world, A teeny weeny bit of light. I was at a peace vision camp in the West Bank for a few days with Israelis, Palestinians and internationals. It was a tough and moving time, one of those moments in your life where you can almost feel the birth of new neural pathways in your system... It provided me personally with the experience I was craving. A shared space between people- sometimes silent, sometimes talking, sometimes crying- always listening. The setting was dramatic and sobering. A bit cliched to say, but there is really nothing like being surrounded by gunshots and explosions to drive home just how crucial human connection is. As are laughter, tears, songs and hugs. Anyway, so the good news, as you can see in the huffington post article below, is that now it appears that people are starting to hear about this initiative, and others of the sort too. We all know that the media doesnt love to write about the delicate workings of actual human experiences, about how sad and scared we all are right now. Heres a little sneak peek of one such shared experience. And if youre interested in the statement that emerged from those 3 days, there is a link embedded in the article.
