Hello – The American Red Cross urgently needs donors to help prevent an emergency blood shortage following the Independence Day holiday. Platelet donors and blood donors of all types, especially those with type O negative, B negative and A negative, are encouraged to give now. Summer can be among the most challenging times of the year to collect enough blood and platelet donations – yet the need for blood doesn’t take a summer break. The attached news release details the urgent need and lists upcoming American Red Cross blood drives in your surrounding communities.
