Helloooooo to my TWU Facebook family! Wow.... I see a lot of posts flying left and right..... Some are getting down-right nasty. I guess there are some employers and politicians laughing their asses off lately, seeing how the healthy messages of solidarity within labour so quickly are turning into deprocating and divisive messages of attack from within the ranks. Listen up: you are all BETTER THAN THIS. Stop the negative attacks. Its embarrassing. It embarrasses us as a union. Whether we come out of this merged or not, we are still bound to each other come November 8th and I for one do not think that these hateful messages among you will do any of us any good then. Whether you vote yes or no, maintain some level of dignity! Oh and PS: My local brought forward this resolution (602!!! Jvous aime!!!). It was supported UNANIMOUSLY by them at a local meeting. They had the right to do so. Convention supported that resolution in the majority (thanks btw!). THEY govern this union. Im just one of 21 seat-warmers lol, who has been elected to carry out the wishes of the membership in between Convention (and happy to do so). If you dont like that process, if you have an issue with me or other Officers carrying out their wishes, then think of what that REALLY means..... Keep it clean out there folks! Miller. Out.
