The Malaysian Government and those from the past (refereeing to the likes of Mahathir Mohammed) have to be very careful about how they stir emotions of the Muslims in this country for face a real probability of going the ISIS way. We notice that Muslims in this country are simply being stirred up by these people to adopt extreme ways to the extent of threatening a repeat of May 13 and all on religious racial sentiments being taken to over drive for political purposes by irresponsible elements in UMNO, former UMNOI leaders who exert influence and easily forget, and their cronies like Perkasa and the others. Unwarranted and unsubstantiated accusations against other groups particularly the Chinese and Christians as being a threat to the Malays and their religion have led to some of the Malays through sheer ignorance and the influence of the UMNO led media to adopt extreme and threatening positions, positions that threaten the peace and security of the nation and its peopel. The ISIL has now declared a Caliphate, terms captured regions new Islamic state and in a in an audio recording distributed online, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) declared its chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the caliph and leader for Muslims everywhere. Everywhere means globally, we have now in our midst young Malaysians who have been nurtured in this extremism practiced by our government to drum up support on religious grounds and have from then on been easy targets for the extremists who are even now volunteering to go to the middle east as fighters and even suicide bombers. With this declared Caliphate and the declaration of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as the Caliph and leader of Muslims everywhere the Malaysian government has to make sure that their actions do not lead our young Muslim youth to this path of radicalism The government has to come out with its stand on foreign policy as to where we stand in the Middle East Crisis, we cant remain aloof or Neutral for neutrality is the worst position to take.
