Heloo Birders, After a successful count in Phase one of the AWGC and a whooping species count of 136 including rarities like the pied avocet and eurasian wigeon we are now headed to the last and final phase this Sunday the 25th covering the wetlands of South Goa GROUPS: 1. Pale Velsao (Headed by Mandar Bhagat) 2. Curtorim and Velim( Headed by Anne Claire Ketteringham) 3. Macazana 1 and Macazana 2 (Headed by Nitin Naik and Satish Thayapurath) 4. Cambarjua Canal (Headed by Mr Kamath on his boat) 5. Maina Lake and in addition two smaller lakes 1. Ambulor lake (near verna ) 2. Sonbem tollem (near curtorim lake) which can be taken as an addition to any group anyone who knows any water body near by is requested to conduct it there as well as the data will be useful in conducting the actual count SIMPLE RULES: 1. The count will be for three hours from 8am to 11am 2. The list of birds along with approximate nos to be made into a lift of Half an hour intervals each 3. birds species in each half hour in independent that is the same species is to be added in the next half hour even if it is seen already in the first hour 4. Members are to upload the list onto ebird with the following tag #AGWC People Interested are requested to join in any one of the respective groups
