Help Bend International School Get Their Facility What We Need & What You Get Bend International School is honored to have received the United States Department of Educations Federal Charter Schools Grant. This is a 3 year grant that supports the development and start-up costs for our school. However, it does not cover our facility costs. We must raise funds to cover the down payment and renovations for our facility. We are hoping to raise $50,000. By contributing, most importantly you will get the satisfaction of being part of a global movement to empower our youth to solve the problems of the world by learning to cooperate and collaborate together. For $50 contributions, you will also receive a Mana CD, number one latin american musicians and cousins of Meera. For $100 you will receive a beautiful piece of childrens artwork. Thank you for considering donating to our school. All money earned will go into our facility fund, and help us reach our goals of opening doors in the Fall of 2015. Mission Bend International Schools mission is to promote social and academic achievement for ALL students by providing an innovative hands-on integrated program with a global focus. The number one reason students drop out of school is because they do not see the relevance in what they are studying or doing- Barack Obama addressing the US Department of Education and the American Public, 2014. Bend International aims to engage all students, regardless of their ability level, in their education and empower them to succeed by providing a program that is truly relevant, offers student choice, and promotes local and global community. Our students will work with students from all over the world to help solve some of the worlds pressing problems. After all, it is our children and grandchildren who will inherit the Earth. Bend International has a Sister School Project with Autlan, Mexico which involves an exchange program with Global Community Service Based Learning between both schools for the 6-8th graders. When students can see the rewards of their efforts, and realize the importance of their work, and their presence in the world the limits are endless. Bend International School aims to unite the diverse pockets in our community to form a true international school community that respects our differences. Our town is divided: the minority and lower-economic families live on the east side. The higher economic and majority culture live on the west, and this is where currently all of the magnet and alternative educational programs are located. Bend International plans to locate our innovative and project-based learning school on the east side of town where it is needed most. Our Spanish Immersion Program will help all students to become bilingual, as the rest of the world, and attract the Latino families within our community. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND SHARE OUR CAMPAIGN! THANK YOU! GRACIAS!
