Help Secure the Future of National Collective of Community-based Women’s Networks(NCCWN) and its local Women’s Projects beyond 2014 YOUR SUPPORT IS URGENTLY NEEDED by DONEGAL WOMEN’S NETWORK ◾Have you celebrated International Women’s Day or other events with the Donegal Women’s Network? ◾Have you attended any events hosted or co-hosted by the Donegal Women’s Network ? ◾Have you done any training with us? ◾Maybe you have joined some campaigns we highlighted? ◾Maybe you have been a member of one of our many women’s groups over the years? ◾Maybe you received one to one support from our organisation? ◾Maybe you know someone who has received support from us? If the answer to any of the above questions is YES, the Donegal Women’s Network now greatly need, welcome and would appreciate your support. If the answer is NO, maybe you would still like to help and support us to keep our doors open. NCCWN – Donegal Women’s Network and 16 other women’s networks nationally are under grave threat of losing their funding now and of possible closure by the end of the year. The NCCWN’s current annual budget is €1.3 million, this funds the work of the 17 NCCWN women’s projects. Working within this limited budget in 2013 the projects engaged with 36,589 women from many different communities. NCCWN has demonstrated that this represents excellent value for money. In an effort to ring-fence this funding all seventeen projects around the country are conducting a letter writing campaign designed to converge on Minister Phil Hogan’s desk on the same day. Could you please demonstrate your support by writing a letter (click the link below) addressed to Minister Phil Hogan. We need these letters in our office (Donegal Women’s Network, 6 Tir Chonaill Street, Donegal Town) as soon as possible. Please if possible and appropriate include your name and address on your letter. We would also be grateful if you could encourage your friends, colleagues or family members to support our campaign. Thanks Orán
