Help a Mom Out: She writes: "I would like to hear others thoughts on this. My son is 14yr old, 9th grade, bipolar NOS, ADHD combined type, and anxiety disorder NOS. we are having a back and forth with the school over IEP vs 504. Thursday we will have an IEP determination meeting. Many of his teachers, doctors, myself all see he clearly qualifies for IEP as OHI or emotionally disturbed. I have read that the ED label can be negative for the child based on reactions from teachers and such. Is one really better or worse than another? I want to be prepared for every possibility! Thanks everyone."
